Stamp Effort

The Air America Association is promoting a campaign to create a new stamp. This Freedom Stamp will commemorate the efforts of civilian flight crews along with maintenance and operations personnel in Southeast Asia. The past will be preserved for the future by what you do today.

The image above is possibly the most famous single photo of the Vietnam era; this image shows America's resolve to risk lives for the sake of freedom. The committee would like to see a stamp that echoes this sentiment. The photo is of an Air America helicopter on top of the Pittman Building evacuating refugees in the final days of the conflict.
