In Remembrance of

Nadi Sopone aka "Soupy"

Comments made to Soupy's family from Soupy's many friends at Air America:

From Clarence Abadie:   We are very sorry to hear that your father has passed away. Soupy will be remembered by all of us who worked and lived in Udorn. He was a good friend to me and my family and to many others who knew him well on the job and in our personal lives. From the very beginning of the Udorn operation, Soupy was someone that we could count on to do his job well and to help others whenever they needed help. He shared many hours with me when we would go out into the countryside to visit the villages around Udorn We spent some good times hunting ducks in the airboat we built and he was always ready to try something new.  Soupy was a good friend and I will miss him.  We offer you and your family our deepest sympathy and wish you a long and healthy life.

From Judy Porter:  I was so sorry to hear about your father. I had a tearful reunion with him in Bangkok in 2002 and was so very grateful I got to see him then. We lived nearby, for several years, in Udorn. He is remembered fondly. My condolence to you and your family.

From John Melton:  Everybody who was based at Udorn knew “Soupy”. As the supervisor of ground transportation, he was responsible for the fleet of VW Microbuses that picked up and returned the flight crews and other personnel to their homes in the town. He was probably the most loyal and conscientious employee at Udorn. May he rest in peace.

Form Dick Ford:  I learned today the sad news of the death of your father, Nadi Sopone. I have many fond memories of our association at Udorn - never anything other than pleasant. He will be sorely missed by all his Air America colleagues. I very much enjoyed the opportunity to meet with him during the Air America gathering in Bangkok during 2002. Please accept the sympathy of myself and my daughter, Barb - and our best wishes for the future.
